Christmas Morning!!
Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year! When I was a kid it was for the obvious reasons, toys toys and more toys! As I got older, it became less about toys and more about what I could get my Mom and Dad to buy my “crush of the week”, to let her unwrap! Then as a senior in high school, I finally caught the girl that I knew was suppose to be mine and at that time, Christmas became special to me but i still was unaware that Christmas was anything more than a time for friends, family and yes presents!!! As time moved forward, I began to fall in love with this girl who started taking me to church and introducing me to people who would eventually impact my life in ways that quite honestly at that point in my life I really didn’t even understand. We moved forward, made plans to get married, while this Guy that I didn’t know kept watching and wondering if what He had planned for us would ever happen. A couple of years went by and this Guy blessed us with our first little bundle of joy! With this little bundle came some bumps in the road, some really bad choices, and a life that was spinning out of control! You see, one of the most awesome things about this Guy that was watching over us is that even though He loves us unconditionally, He allows us to make our decisions, take our lumps and still stands by us saying “I’ve got a plan for you son, I love you”! So we close a chapter in our lives, move out of Norman and into Moore where I started to see things differently, but still wondered who this Guy was and why He started to show Himself more and not getting mad at me for not listening to what He was saying! “Who are You and why do You care so much about Me? My life is a mess and all You keep saying is how perfect my family is and how You can fix all my problems”. What do you want in return, I thought. To which he said, “for you to follow Me!” She’s finally done it, I’m going crazy, I thought! A little while later bundle of joy number two arrives into a house that’s not filled with a whole lot of joy, but there was something different, something that was a little less mysterious or should I say Someone! We hadn’t seen the inside of a church in a few years, but something was stirring and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a mouse! By this time, we are living in Newcastle and my little family is growing into something quite amazing. I found this Mystery Man that had been following me from town to town and began to turn and chase Him instead of running from Him. I began to learn about him, read about him, surround myself with other people who were searching for Him! Today as I write about what my favorite holiday is, my answer is still the same, it’s Christmas, but the reason is so much different! The creator of everything we see, everything we do, the creator of all of the seasons, all the holidays, is the same Man who followed me through all of my hard times, even those which were self inflicted. He is the same man that repaired my marriage, and the same man that carried His cross to the top of that mountain and was crucified for me!!!!
Welcome Home
In a situation where Thank You would not even come close to what is deserved, You chose to fight for my family, you chose to stand for things that a lot of us take for granted every day! Unfortunately a lot of you died standing on that wall for your family and a lot of people you simply didn’t even know so I say thank you that you lived your life with a purpose standing for the things that you believed in! For those of you that are getting to come home and spend Christmas with your families I thank God for your services, I say thank you and I say welcome home!!!
Merry Christmas and may God Bless you!!

“GRANDAD”
December 3
It was on this day 17 years ago that some would say that a great man was taken from them way to early, but I say he was not taken from us, yet instead he was given everlasting life in Heaven. None of us are promised tomorrow, but we are promised eternity and I believe with all of my heart that my “Grandad” watches down on me and sees his great grandchildren playing in the yard while he has his white German shepherds by his side as he tends to his garden wearing his overalls and flannel shirt smiling as they come running up asking if they can crack open a watermelon to which he says I’ll get the watermelon if you run get the salt and some forks. Bobby Corbin AKA my grandad was a great man who had no enemies, and will never be forgotten. It says in the bible that God will supply us with all of our needs and that a true follower of Christ shall be a servant just as He did the church and I never knew Grandad not to help anyone who simply asked weather it be advice or manual labor he was there. Part of me wants to say that he was taken to early, but I know that Our God had a bigger purpose for him with a small house and a garden out back that I’d like to believe that he grows the best fruits and vegetables for all of the people to come and graze on!
Grandad I love you I miss you and I can’t wait until the day you meet my wife (who I’ve always said you would love) and kids someday when we are all joined together again, but for now say hello to all of the ones who have already been blessed by the miracle of heaven!
My Soapy to Sara
S=. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly. (Colossians 3:19 NLT)
O=. My observation is that this scripture should speak volumes to all husbands! To me harshly is way deeper than just simply being mean or negative! Sara I should always treat you like a queen & I should have never wavered from that all the way back before May 27, 2000! If we will live according to Gods word then I don’t see a way that we could fail because Gods word doesn’t fail! Harshly could mean doing my own thing, not caring about you or your feelings. Harshly could mean not helping out around OUR HOUSE! Last time I checked you work 40+ hours a week too! I think a lot of us husbands and wives alike probably take the word harshly to light and think ” well I’m not yelling”, when the implications can be so much more! My observation is that I’m not perfect, but I’m going to do my best do treat you & LOVE YOU the same way that Christ treated and loved the church!!!
A=. Applying this to not only my life, but my marriage should be easy, but I know that it’s not sometimes! We live in a microwave society that is self centered and “me” driven when really we need to take a line from JFK and ask not what can you do for me, but instead what can I do for you and that is what I want to be in my marriage! I want to bring out the best in you and the boys as well as have a lot of fun in-between! I love and adore you and everything we are seeking to become! I could not have a better number two!
P=. Father I lift Sara up to you and pray that she seeks you in all that she does, that she puts you above all else! I pray that she is the wife and mother that you intended for her to be Father and that our marriage be blessed by you God! God I pray she hears from you and takes the time to listen and understand what it is that you want from her! Father I thank you for putting Sara and I in each others path so that we are able to find you together God! I pray peace and love over our marriage in Jesus name!
Amen!
Y=. In 2nd Corinthians 5:17 it says
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! This is something I kept getting when I think of you! We’ve traveled the globe together and we’ve had our ups and we’ve had our downs, but we are in an awesome place right now! It is so awesome to see where God is taking you and it helps me more than you’ll ever know! God reveals things to me everyday about you that is just over the top amazing and I thank Him daily for you!!
I love you!!!!
Proverbs chapter 5
Proverbs 5:1 S=. My son, pay attention to my wisdom, turn your ear to my words of insight, O=. This verse can save your life, your marriage, your job, anything that is in need of anything to me this scripture coupled with the rest of the Bible is a gold mine of Knowledge, happiness, wisdom and the life that Christ planned out for you… Which can’t be a bad thing! If we will learn to believe and live the bible from Genesis all the way to the maps it will never fail…. It can’t because if we believe it than we know that Gods word doesn’t fail us! Ever! A=. This is the perfect scripture for the perfect application! DIE TO SELF!!!! DAILY!!!!! P=. Father I pray you give me strength to always remember to step back from any situation so that I can realize that you already have everything under control and that when I crucify my flesh and turn things over to you that the enemy will eventually cross me off his list because he knows he is fighting a losing battle! I pray my ear is super naturally turned to you God! In Jesus name AMEN!!! Y=. Sit back and look at your surroundings, look at your past, look at anyone or anything that isn’t lining up with my word and my teachings…. They struggle in some area with something, never happy, life sucks, wife/ husband is lazy, kids are bad kids, the truth is they are strung out on the lies of the enemy and he has put all kinds of doubt in their heart, I say to you stand tall pick up your cross and follow me, husbands get your families in order, be the man of Christ, be the man your wife will be proud to submit to because if you aren’t submitting your life to me, why would she summit hers to you, follow me and life doesn’t have a choice but to be blessed, your kids will undoubtedly be good kids, Live your life according to me and know that you are my Child! Wives pray for your husbands to be the man you need them to be, there are those of you who know the power behind your prayers, speak it aloud as a testimony of my grace on you!
